The soundtrack for the video game Borderlands 4 is set to be released on vinyl, marking the one-year anniversary of the looter shooter's release. Gearbox Entertainment confirmed the vinyl release yesterday, 24 September.
The 2LP vinyl set, created in collaboration with Laced Records, features 22 specially remastered tracks. Among these are 'This Land' and 'Thrum Dumpster' by Des Rocs, with the latter also featuring Jaret Reddick of Bowling For Soup and former Pantera vocalist Terry Glaze.
Composers Finishing Move Inc., Cris Velasco, Joshua Carro, and Christian Pacaud contributed to the soundtrack. Each side of the vinyl is dedicated to one of the major biomes on the in-game planet Kairos: The Fadefields, The Terminus Range, Carcadia Burn, and Dominion City.
A limited-edition 'Max Mayhem' vinyl set, featuring red and yellow discs, is currently available for pre-order via Laced. A standard black vinyl option is also available.
