Katie Boulter has been selected to lead the British team at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Shenzhen, China, in September. The team will compete against the Czech Republic in their opening match on Tuesday, 22 September.

Emma Raducanu, who has experienced injury and illness throughout the year, is not part of the squad. Boulter, the British number two, replaces Katie Swan in a team that otherwise remains unchanged from their qualifying victory against Australia. The team includes Harriet Dart, Mika Stojsavljevic, and Jodie Burrage.

Great Britain captain Anne Keothavong expressed confidence in Boulter's ability to perform in such events and praised the other players for their performance against Australia. The Czech Republic, 11-time winners, will feature Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova and runner-up Karolina Muchova. Other teams competing include Kazakhstan, led by world number two Elena Rybakina, and hosts China, led by Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen, who will face defending champions Italy.
