Bournemouth are reportedly open to selling England midfielder Alex Scott in January, a significant shift after previously insisting he was not for sale. Senior sources indicate the Cherries would sanction the 23-year-old's departure if an offer of about £100m arrives.
Another condition for the potential sale is Bournemouth's position in the Premier League table. If the club is struggling near the bottom, they may decide to keep Scott to aid their survival efforts.
Scott has been pushing to leave Vitality Stadium since rejecting two contract offers at the end of last season. Chelsea and Liverpool are believed to retain an interest, with Chelsea having previously made a rejected bid of £60m rising to £64m in add-ons.
The midfielder is currently sidelined for at least a month due to a thigh injury sustained during England's 7-0 win over Croatia in the Nations League. He remains on the contract he signed in 2023, which expires in 2028.
