British boxer Moses Itauma, 21, was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure after his IBF world heavyweight title fight against Filip Hrgovic on Saturday night at London's O2 Arena. His promoter, Frank Warren, confirmed on Sunday morning that Itauma remained under medical observation.

Warren stated that Itauma was expected to be discharged later on Sunday after undergoing routine tests. He also mentioned that Itauma had sustained a leg injury and was very tired after the high-paced fight.

Filip Hrgovic, the new IBF world heavyweight champion, urged Itauma not to give up. Hrgovic, 34, acknowledged losing the first eight rounds but attributed his victory to his professional experience, suggesting Itauma made pacing mistakes and fought like an amateur in the later rounds.
