An 11-year-old boy has died in hospital after allegedly being shot at a home in Sydney's north-west. Police reported that the boy, who had been in a critical condition, died at approximately 8pm on Thursday.
Officers were called to a unit in Norwest on Monday at about 5pm following reports of a shooting. They found the boy with a gunshot wound to his face and neck. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead children’s hospital.
Five other people present in the home at the time were not injured. Three men, all 18, were arrested. One man, Isaac Bechara, was charged with concealing a serious indictable offence and was refused bail on Tuesday. Police are continuing their investigation and are considering the association of individuals inside the unit with organised crime.
