Brandon Flowers brought his solo 'Thrasher' tour to the UK, playing a 20-song set at London's Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, October 15. The performance celebrated his latest solo album, 'Thrasher', which was released in August and offers insight into his upbringing in Utah, embracing the country music he was raised on.

Flowers opened the show with 'The Red Ground' and discussed his motivation for the album's sound, explaining his childhood move from Las Vegas to Utah. He shared that his father's truck often played country artists like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings. Flowers stated, "I spent a long time being embarrassed by that music, but tonight, I’m going to play it to you."

Wearing a black, rhinestone-studded Nudie suit, Flowers performed other 'Thrasher' tracks including 'Tiger’s Blood', 'Plans', 'Paradise', 'Angel', and 'Miss America'. He also shared personal anecdotes about his family and upbringing throughout the night. The setlist also included The Killers' songs such as 'In The Car Outside', 'In Another Life', and 'Read My Mind'.

'Thrasher' is Flowers' first solo album in over a decade, following 2015's 'The Desired Effect'. It was recorded in Nashville with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. Flowers has described it as his most personal record and the first of two connected solo albums.
