British Museum to release more Bayeux Tapestry tickets in October

The British Museum has announced that further tickets for the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition will be released in October. These additional passes will cover visits to the display from January to March next year.

The 70-metre-long tapestry, which depicts the Norman Conquest, arrived from France in July and is on display at the London site from September to July next year. Passes are currently sold out until December.

TV presenter Claudia Winkleman features in a new trailer for the exhibition, playing a British Museum employee. The short film, produced in collaboration with Spacebar, includes more than 30 historical re-enactors.

The next wave of public tickets for The Bayeux Tapestry will go on sale on October 21 at 10am. Further tickets covering the final months of the exhibition will be released at a later date.

What this means for you: If you wish to visit the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition between January and March, new tickets will be available for purchase in October.
