London-based Brompton Bicycle, a folding bike firm, is set to sue its former accounting and tax adviser, AAB Group, for professional negligence. Legal action has been launched in the High Court against the Scottish-headquartered business advisory firm, according to court records.
The defendants named in the legal action are AAB Business & Tax Advisory LLP, AAB Customs, and Woodward Trade Consulting. Paul Woodward, who managed Woodward Trade Consulting until its dissolution in June 2025, was also a senior customs consultant at AAB from August 2022 to February 2024.
Brompton's lawyers at City-based HFW filed the professional negligence claim in the Commercial Court, a specialised division of the High Court that typically deals with complex cases valued above £3m.
