Brompton Bicycle Sues Former Adviser AAB Group for Professional Negligence

Folding bike manufacturer Brompton Bicycle has launched legal action in the High Court against its former accounting and tax adviser, AAB Group, for alleged professional negligence.

London-based Brompton Bicycle, a folding bike firm, is set to sue its former accounting and tax adviser, AAB Group, for professional negligence. Legal action has been launched in the High Court against the Scottish-headquartered business advisory firm, according to court records.

The defendants named in the legal action are AAB Business & Tax Advisory LLP, AAB Customs, and Woodward Trade Consulting. Paul Woodward, who managed Woodward Trade Consulting until its dissolution in June 2025, was also a senior customs consultant at AAB from August 2022 to February 2024.

Brompton's lawyers at City-based HFW filed the professional negligence claim in the Commercial Court, a specialised division of the High Court that typically deals with complex cases valued above £3m.
