City PR and advisory firm Brunswick is reportedly exploring a fresh cash injection through the sale of a stake in the company. This move comes five years after the firm secured a £500m valuation following the sale of a 10.7 per cent stake to US private bank BDT Capital Partners.
The blue-chip communications giant is reportedly seeking new external investment to support growth, recruitment, and to maintain the value of equity for its partners. Brunswick, founded in 1987 by Sir Alan Parker, now has 27 global offices and advises C-suite executives and boards on various matters including mergers, acquisitions, and crisis communications.
Last year, Brunswick, which has 220 partners globally, generated £400m in revenue and recorded earnings before interest and taxes exceeding £50m. Partners are expected to discuss options at their annual meeting in Washington this October, though no final decision has been made. The firm declined to comment on the reports.
