Sixteen people have died and 28 others were injured following a bus crash in eastern Egypt. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning on the road connecting the Red Sea towns of Dahab and Nuweiba, located in the South Sinai governorate.
The country's health ministry confirmed the fatalities and injuries. Up to 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to provide first aid and transport the injured. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
