Jos Buttler has become the all-time leading run-scorer in T20 cricket, breaking Kieron Pollard's record of 14,803 runs. The England white-ball star achieved the milestone at Old Trafford during Manchester Super Giants' nine-wicket win over Welsh Fire in The Hundred.
Buttler, 35, finished unbeaten on 51 runs from just 20 deliveries, including two fours and six sixes. He sealed the victory with back-to-back sixes, helping the Super Giants reach their target of 156 with 31 balls to spare.
Tim Seifert also contributed significantly for the Super Giants, scoring 62 not out from 36 balls. Their opening partnership of 74 from 35 balls with Paul Walter (37 from 18) set a strong foundation.
Earlier, Welsh Fire posted 155-4, with Matt Short hitting 71 from 47 balls and captain Phil Salt adding 48 from 37 deliveries. The Super Giants' win moves them into third place in the competition standings.
