England white-ball player Jos Buttler has made history by becoming the highest run-scorer in men's T20 cricket. The 35-year-old reached 14,833 runs, surpassing Kieron Pollard's previous record of 14,803.
Buttler secured the record with a six hit over square leg off Marco Jansen's bowling at Old Trafford. Playing for Manchester Super Giants, he went on to score 51 from 20 balls in his 522nd T20 match.
This achievement follows a strong run of form for Buttler, who has made 50+ scores in three of his last four Hundred matches and scored 131 from 64 balls in his most recent international game against India.
