Cage The Elephant have unveiled their latest single, 'Dying In Reverse', a psychedelic track named after their forthcoming tour. This is the second single from their upcoming seventh album, following 'Beaches In Tennessee'.
Frontman Matthew Shultz described 'Dying In Reverse' as being about "a fresh start or a rebirth of sorts," focusing on "death to ego, renewing the mind and heart." He added that it represents a journey to see more clearly "through the lens of love and connect to deeper purpose."
The new single is also confirmed to appear in the EA Sports FC 27 video game, which is scheduled for release on September 25. The band is also set to embark on a UK and European tour in 2027.
Shultz previously discussed how the band's new music marks a "new chapter" for Cage The Elephant, stating they have "discovered a whole new side to our band." He believes they are making their "best music we've ever made."
Last year, the band completed their role as special guests on Oasis’ ‘Live ’25 tour’ before heading straight back into the studio. Shultz noted that the Oasis tour "really reignited our fire to dream and continue to dream."
