Chantelle Cameron and Mikaela Mayer are poised for a title-unification showdown this weekend in Birmingham. The highly anticipated bout will see Cameron put her WBO super-welterweight title on the line against American Mayer, who currently holds the WBC and WBA belts.

The clash, featuring multiple-division champions, will headline a women’s UK vs US card at the BP Pulse LIVE arena on Saturday 29 August. Main-event ring walks are expected from 9:30pm BST.

The event also features Caroline Dubois defending her unified lightweight titles against Amelia Moore. Terri Harper and Shannon Courtenay are among other notable names scheduled to compete on the card, which will be streamed live on Sky Sports.

Why this matters: The fight could determine boxing's top female star, with both Cameron and Mayer vying for status following Katie Taylor's reported retirement.
