Candace Cameron Bure has discussed her participation in the Fox reality series "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test." The actress travelled to Malaysia to film the fifth season of the quasi-military training programme, which is scheduled to premiere on Thursday night.

Bure, who recently turned 50 and is soon to become a grandmother, told The Independent that she was drawn to the opportunity because she likes to say yes to challenges that scare her. She explained that the show involves training with Navy Seals and undertaking demanding activities.

She hopes her involvement will encourage other women her age to embrace opportunities, even if they are challenging. Bure is competing alongside a cast that includes George Santos, Brandi Glanville, Collin Gosselin, Mauricio and Alexia Umansky, Maxim Naumov, and her friend Oliver Hudson.
