The CBS Sports Champions League studio show, featuring Kate Scott, Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry, and Micah Richards, has made a comeback, continuing its popular and often viral approach to football coverage for a US audience. The show, primarily broadcast on Paramount+, has garnered attention for its distinctive on-air chemistry.
Kate Scott, who expertly guides the show, described its dynamic as "authentic" in an interview earlier this month. She likened the panel's interactions to the squabbles within a family, underpinned by mutual appreciation and respect. Jamie Carragher noted that broadcasting for an American audience from a UK studio allows for a more relaxed approach compared to English television.
Thierry Henry also emphasised the importance of sincerity in his punditry, stating his focus is on making people understand the game. The Champions League broadcast rights were acquired by CBS in 2021, having previously been held by various rivals including ESPN, Fox Sports, and Turner Sports between 2008 and 2020.
