The second season of Celebrity Traitors is set to begin next week, featuring a cast of high-profile stars competing for a charity prize pot of up to £100,000. Unlike the regular version of the show, the celebrity winnings will go to a charity chosen by the contestant.
Reports suggest that celebrities participating in the series receive a flat fee of £40,000 for their appearance. However, rugby player Joe Marler stated he was paid £30,000 for his involvement in last year's series, indicating potential variations in fees. The BBC declined to comment on these fees.
Claudia Winkleman returns as host for the celebrity series, which will premiere on BBC One on October 1 at 8pm. This season's cast includes Michael Sheen, Richard E Grant, Maya Jama, Ross Kemp, Bella Ramsey, and comedians such as Joe Lycett and James Acaster. Mathematician Professor Hannah Fry will also join the contestants.
