Celtic has completed the signing of striker Kasper Hogh for a club-record fee, alongside new attacker Camilo Duran. These arrivals have reportedly eased restlessness among the fanbase regarding transfer business, following a season that saw Celtic clinch both the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup.
Martin O'Neill, 74, has been confirmed as permanent manager after two interim spells at the club. Under O'Neill, Celtic secured 59 points across 23 league games last term, averaging approximately 2.6 points per game. He has vowed to "drive forward together" and "not rest on past success."
The attacking duo of Hogh and Duran reportedly cost a combined £15m and both possess Champions League experience. Duran scored five of his 15 goals for Qarabag last season in the competition, while Hogh netted the same number for Bodo/Glimt.
O'Neill's backroom staff will include Shaun Maloney, Mark Fotheringham, and Stephen McManus. The club has also added set-piece specialist Ross Grant from Hearts, indicating a greater emphasis on dead-ball situations. O'Neill has hinted at potentially deploying Hogh and Duran together up front, a departure from Celtic's usual 4-3-3 formation.
