Charlie Green, known online as CG5, is set to release his second full-length album, 'Gamer', on October 16. The musician, who has over 10 million YouTube subscribers and five million TikTok followers, is known for his EDM-inspired songs about indie video games.
For 'Gamer', Green is shifting focus to a more personal collection of tunes, drawing inspiration from game soundtracks. Tracks on the album include 'I Don’t Like You', inspired by Street Fighter, and 'Go Go Go', which takes cues from Black Eyed Peas and Geometry Dash.
The album also features 'Lie & Lie', evoking the world of Animal Crossing, and 'Am I Allowed To Feel Love Now', inspired by The Legend Of Zelda. Lyrically, 'Gamer' explores the breakdown of a relationship, a change from Green's previous fantastical storytelling.
