UK fans will be able to watch the new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster, 'Avengers: Doomsday', two days earlier than its global release. Disney has confirmed the film will arrive in the UK on Wednesday, December 16, 2026.
The global release date for 'Doomsday' had been set for December 18. This earlier UK release aligns with previous strategies for MCU films, such as 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Endgame', which also premiered in UK cinemas before their American release.
The film is the 39th in the MCU and features a large ensemble cast. Robert Downey Jr. returns as the antagonist Victor Von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom. Other returning actors include Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen as Charles Xavier and Magneto, Channing Tatum as Gambit, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler. Chris Evans will also return as Steve Rogers.
'Avengers: Doomsday' is the penultimate film in the franchise's Multiverse Saga, which is set to conclude with 'Avengers: Secret Wars' next year.
