Chandler Riggs, who played Carl Grimes in 'The Walking Dead', has released his own 'Resident Evil' fan film. The 20-minute unofficial live-action short, titled 'Biohazard', adapts moments from the 2017 game 'Resident Evil 7'.
Riggs not only wrote and directed the film but also stars as Ethan Winters. His former 'The Walking Dead' colleague, Jason Douglas, plays Jack, the patriarch of the Baker family. Mary Rachel Quinn, Eugenie Bondurant, Johnathan O’Neil, and Sam Coyles also feature in the film, with 'The Walking Dead' producer Greg Nicotero providing SFX equipment.
Riggs stated in an interview that a key motivation for making the film was a desire to see a "good, true-to-the-game live-action adaptation of Resident Evil." He also expressed interest in collaborating with Zach Cregger on future 'Resident Evil' projects.
