Changan, one of China's largest car manufacturers, has introduced its Deepal S05 electric SUV to the UK market this year. The vehicle is offered with an uncomplicated approach to options, with most features included as standard.
Standard equipment on the Deepal S05 includes heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. An all-wheel drive (AWD) version is available for an additional £2,000, offering more power but with a reduced range of 278 miles. A panoramic sunroof is the only other option, priced at an extra £1,000.
The Deepal S05 also features a large 15.4-inch central touchscreen, which can swivel to face the passenger, driver, or remain in the centre position. The car includes a 159-litre front storage area under the bonnet, noted for its size and rugged design, suitable for items like mucky shoes or washbags.
Changan provides a seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty for the Deepal S05. The vehicle achieved a five-star rating in its Euro NCAP crash test last year.
