Electric Storm Unleashed: Chase & Status Bring the Noise to Electric Castle Day Three!
The third day of Electric Castle 2026 was always going to be special, but few could have predicted just how explosive it would get when Chase & Status took to the stage. Saul Milton and Will Kennard, the dynamic duo behind this UK drum 'n' bass powerhouse, delivered a set that was nothing short of phenomenal – 90 minutes of pure adrenaline-fuelled energy that left the thousands-strong crowd breathless.
Their Saturday night performance (18 July 2026) was an assault on the senses, with pyrotechnics lighting up the sky and their iconic beats thumping through every corner of the festival grounds. The hits just kept coming – 'Disconnect' and 'Blind Faith' still got the crowd moving like it's the first time they've heard them. MC Takura was in top form, hyping up the moshers and ravers alike, while Chase & Status continued to push boundaries with their new material, including collaborations with the likes of Lancey Foux, Pozer, and Little Simz.
Stormzy's powerful vocals on 'Backbone' sent shivers down the spines of even the most seasoned festival-goers. And when Flowdan took the mic for 'Baddadan', it was like a tidal wave of energy washed over the crowd – the whole place erupted! It's performances like these that cement Chase & Status's status as festival royalty, year after year.
But they weren't the only ones bringing the heat earlier in the evening. Swedish cloud rap duo Yung Lean and Bladee drew a massive crowd to the Hangar stage with their experimental set. And what better way to celebrate Yung Lean's 30th birthday than on stage, surrounded by flames that would put the most epic of firework displays to shame? The pair tore through their collaborations – 'I Don't Like People' was the perfect opening salvo – and classic tracks like 'Evil World', 'Inferno', and even Yung Lean's iconic hit 'Ginseng Strip 2002' got the crowd singing along in unison.
Bladee took over for a spell, treating fans to some of his latest Sulfer Surfer material. And as the night drew to a close, it was clear that Electric Castle had just experienced something truly special – not least when a bolt of lightning illuminated the historic Bánffy Castle, adding an otherworldly touch to this already unforgettable festival experience.
