Chelsea mounted a remarkable second-half comeback to defeat Leeds 6-3 in the Carabao Cup third round at Stamford Bridge. The Blues, who had made nine changes from their previous match, found themselves trailing 2-0 just after half-time following goals from Tarik Muharemovic and Brenden Aaronson.

Manager Xabi Alonso introduced four substitutes at the break, including Cole Palmer, who quickly made an impact. Palmer scored twice in two minutes, the first from a penalty, to level the score. Pedro Neto, another half-time substitute, then put Chelsea ahead, completing a six-minute turnaround.

Danny Welbeck extended Chelsea's lead, with Morgan Rogers assisting three goals after coming off the bench. Although Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored for Leeds, Valentin Barco netted his first goal for Chelsea, and Welbeck headed in a sixth in stoppage time to seal the victory.
