CMA announces new appointments and leadership changes

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has updated its structure with several new appointments and internal movements, including an interim Chief Executive.

  • Sarah Cardell has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive.
  • Chris Prevett has been named Interim General Counsel.
  • Amanda Adams is the new Director, Regulatory Appeals.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has announced updates to its organisational structure, including new appointments and changes to existing roles. Sarah Cardell has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive, with Chris Prevett taking on the role of Interim General Counsel.

Further changes include Amanda Adams replacing Lesley Moore as Director, Regulatory Appeals, and Nick Beresford joining as Senior Legal Director. Sorcha O'Carroll and Richard Romney have moved to Senior Director, Consumer Protection and Senior Director, Mergers, respectively, on secondment.

Other new additions to the CMA include Kate Bridge as Director of Property Transformation, David Jones as Director, Facilities Management, and Karen Croxson as Chief Data and Technology Insights Officer. Jessica Lennard has been appointed Chief Strategy and External Affairs Officer, and Jennifer Halliday is the new Senior Director for Advocacy and External Engagement.

The CMA has also updated its structure to include Victoria Tricarico as Director, Human Resources, Stuart Hudson as Senior Director Strategy, Communications, Nations and Regions, and David Moss as Acting Director, Commercial and Contract Management.
