  • Customers were informed via email on Wednesday that locations were closed "until further notice".
  • Instructors reportedly learned of the closures from the customer email and were told last week that their pay would be delayed.

Common Bond, the fitness company behind high-end exercise brands Barrecore, Boom Cycle, and Kobox, has suddenly shut all its studios. Customers received an email on Wednesday informing them that all locations, which are currently in London, were closed "until further notice".

The firm, which also runs Reformcore and Triyoga brands, describes itself as a wellness collective and charges £2,400 for 12 months of unlimited classes. Its website is no longer publicly accessible.

Instructors have stated they were told last week that their pay would be delayed and that they only found out about the studio closures from the customer email. One instructor mentioned that she and her colleagues were informed of delayed pay on 14 August, the day it was due.

Companies House filings show Common Bond was incorporated in June last year and has not yet published any accounts. The most recent filings indicate that director Ben Allen left his role last month, leaving Gaspar Lipszyc as the sole currently listed director.

What this means for you: Customers who have paid for classes or memberships with Common Bond brands, such as Barrecore or Boom Cycle, may be affected by the sudden closure of studios.
