Zhenhao Zou, a convicted serial rapist, could face additional charges following new allegations involving seven women. The Metropolitan Police has submitted a file containing these new claims to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Zou is currently serving a life sentence with a minimum term of 24 years. He was found guilty of drugging and raping 10 women in London and China between September 2019 and May 2023.

The new allegations include sexual offences, such as rape and administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence. These reports stem from five women who contacted police after an appeal, as well as two women who remain unidentified, according to the Met Police.

Police had appealed for more potential victim-survivors to come forward, believing Zou had committed further crimes. The Met stated that 23 women contacted them following the appeal, but most did not wish to pursue criminal charges.

Separate inquiries are ongoing into allegations involving women reportedly assaulted by Zou in China, with officers working to obtain evidence from Chinese authorities.
