A £3bn stadium development in Washington DC, backed by Crystal Palace co-owner David Blitzer, has released updated renders for its site. The project, which is under construction and due for completion by the end of the decade, will serve as the new home for NFL franchise the Washington Commanders.
The updated plans include two large parking decks, with a combined capacity for up to 6,000 cars. These will be situated on the Washington DC site, with one to the north of the stadium and the other in a residential area.
Blitzer is part of an ownership group that includes Josh Harris, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Mitchell Rales, and Mark Ein. The arena could also potentially be named after US President Donald Trump, a suggestion the Oval Office reportedly described as a “beautiful” gesture last year.
