Crystal Palace marked their Europa League debut with a decisive 4-0 victory over Lech Poznan, a result that may alleviate some pressure on new manager Pierre Sage. The win saw goals from Yéremy Pino, Chris Richards, Jørgen Strand Larsen, and Eddie Nketiah.

The Eagles took an early lead after Poznan's Terry Yegbe gifted Pino a goal directly from a throw-in. Chris Richards then headed in a corner, and Strand Larsen converted a penalty after Pino was fouled, securing a comfortable lead by half-time. Eddie Nketiah rounded off the scoring with a late fourth goal.

The match also saw Lech Poznan's Radoslaw Murawski sent off late in the game for a foul on Jaydee Canvot. Palace, who had conceded 11 goals in their opening four Premier League matches, will now face Leeds on Sunday.
