Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has officially transferred to Inter Milan for a fee of £30 million (€35m). This move follows Inter's previous attempts to sign Jones, including a loan bid and a €25 million offer in June, both of which were unsuccessful.
Liverpool had reportedly valued Jones at €40 million (£34m) a few weeks prior to the sale. The transfer comes as Jones was in the final year of his contract with the club.
Jones made 228 appearances for Liverpool, playing 49 matches in the 2025-26 season. He has been noted for his ability to maintain possession, with a Premier League pass completion rate over 90 per cent in each of the last six years.
New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola may consider Trey Nyoni's pre-season performance as a potential replacement for Jones, especially with Florian Wirtz now installed as a No 10, reducing the number of midfield spots.
