CVC, a private equity firm based in Luxembourg, has acquired a majority stake in OpenRent. OpenRent is described as Britain's largest lettings agency by transaction volume.
This acquisition marks CVC's first significant investment in the UK residential housing market. OpenRent founders Adam Hyslop and Darius Bradbury are set to retain substantial equity and will continue to lead the company. The completion of the deal is contingent on regulatory approval.
