Cwmbran Celtic FC has announced a partnership with Super Furry Animals, Mogwai, Panic Shack, and Loose Articles for their new 2026/27 kits. This collaboration will see 10% of the profits from every shirt sold donated to the Music Venue Trust.
The club's Men's first team has already debuted one of the new designs, securing a 3-0 win against local rivals Cwmbran Town. The band collaborations will be featured on the front of both the men's and women's first-team kits for the upcoming season, produced by new kit supplier Tor Sports.
The initiative aims to support grassroots music venues, following a Music Venue Trust report indicating that over half of UK grassroots venues operated without profit last year. The remaining proceeds from kit sales will benefit the wider Cwmbran Celtic community, including various senior and junior teams.
Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals shared that their inflatable bears have a long-standing connection with Cwmbran. Toni Coe-Brooker from Music Venue Trust highlighted the shared community spirit between football clubs and music venues, stating, "Whether it's a football club or a music venue, these are the places where communities come together and futures begin."
