Anti-migrant activist Daniel Thomas has appeared in court charged with entering a restricted zone at a migrant processing centre in Dover. The 37-year-old, also known as Danny Tommo, is accused of committing this offence on 31 March, according to court documents.
Mr Thomas faces further accusations of using threatening words or behaviour in Dover on 1 April and obstructing a person engaged in a lawful activity on 6 April. He is also charged with entering or remaining in Dover Docks without lawful business or permission, and with racially aggravated harassment by allegedly using threatening or abusive words.
Appearing via videolink at Margate Magistrates' Court on Friday, District Judge William Nelson sent the case for a further case management hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 4 November. Earlier this week, Mr Thomas was refused bail during a crown court hearing concerning the alleged slashing of a dinghy in the English Channel.
