David Byrne’s Night, a tribute act honouring Talking Heads and Robert Burns, has announced a 2027 UK tour. The performances will feature musicians from the indie, punk, and experimental scenes, forming a supergroup that plays tracks from Talking Heads and David Byrne’s solo discography, interspersed with Robert Burns poetry recitals.
The tour is set to begin on January 15, 2027, at New Century Hall in Manchester. Additional dates include stops in Leeds, Brighton, London, and Glasgow throughout January. The London show at Troxy is described as their biggest headline show to date.
Confirmed members for the Troxy performance include musicians from English Teacher, The Pogues, The Horrors, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Goat Girl, Imogen and the Knife, Orchestra (for now), 1000 rabbits, and Ebbb. Other artists playing across the shows include VLURE, Tooth, Hank, The Ninth Wave, Hutch, Bathing Suits, Butch Kassidy, thistle, and YAANG.
These live shows will coincide with the 50th anniversary of Talking Heads' debut album, 'Talking Heads ‘77'.
