British actor Stephen Graham has reportedly joined the cast of 'Heat 2', the long-awaited follow-up to Michael Mann’s 1995 crime classic. The film, based on the 2022 book co-written by Mann and Meg Gardiner, will serve as both a prequel and sequel.

While roles are yet to be confirmed, Variety reports that Graham, 53, is rumoured to play a younger version of Neil McCauley, the character originally portrayed by Robert De Niro. Christian Bale is said to portray a young Vincent Hanna, originally played by Al Pacino, and Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly taking on the role of Chris Shiherlis, first played by Val Kilmer.

Adam Driver is also said to have a role in 'Heat 2', with Australian actors Jason Clarke and Odessa Young reportedly joining the cast. Director Michael Mann had previously indicated he was looking at "possibly shooting it in 2026."
