David William Donald Cameron, former Prime Minister, turns 60 today, 9 October 2026. He was born in Marylebone, the third child of stockbroker Ian Cameron and Mary Fleur Mount.

Cameron's political career saw him become an MP at 34, a frontbencher at 36, shadow cabinet member at 37, and party leader at 38. He resigned as Prime Minister in 2016 after the electorate voted to leave the European Union in the Brexit referendum, a campaign in which he advocated for remaining.

In November 2023, Rishi Sunak appointed Cameron as Foreign Secretary in the House of Lords. He held this position for eight months.
