A fire believed to have been started deliberately broke out close to Northampton Town Football Club's ground and the Sixfields Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service dispatched four crews to Walter Tull Way, Sixfields, at around 21:45 BST on Sunday. The blaze affected approximately 50 sqm of hedgerow, bushes, and fly-tipped waste.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire and departed the scene at about 00:45. Crews later returned on Monday morning to conduct an after-fire inspection, using thermal imaging cameras to check for and dampen down any remaining hotspots.
