A couple from Mickleover, Derby, have reportedly set a new world record for the fastest cycle around the globe, completing over 18,000 miles through 20 countries in 123 days.
Amy and Kyle Hudson, both 30, finished their journey on 2 September, arriving home to Sudbury Stables in Derbyshire. They are now awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records.
The previous record for the challenge was 205 days, set in 2023. The Hudsons' route included countries such as Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, and Spain.
Kyle Hudson sustained a shoulder injury in a crash with a car in Canada with two weeks of the journey remaining. He is planning a visit to A&E to have his shoulder checked.
The couple raised over £55,000 for mental health charities, Shout and The Mix, and rode fully self-supported, carrying their own equipment.
