Ella Woolley, a 19-year-old horse rider from Derbyshire, is relocating to Texas to pursue her ambition of becoming a cowgirl. Ms Woolley, who has ridden horses in Wormhill near Buxton from a young age, began learning to ride bucking horses in January.

Despite being a relative beginner, she intends to develop her ranch bronc riding skills in America. Her ultimate goal is to compete in the world championships.

Ms Woolley has previously trained at the Gipsy Horses Ranch in Belgium, where she rode specially trained bucking horses. She has also competed in rodeo competitions across Europe, achieving a debut score of 58 after staying on a horse for the required eight seconds.

She is scheduled to fly to Texas in August, where she will study history at A&M University and continue to take part in rodeos.
