The film highlights key moments in Goodman's career, including her on-the-spot reports from the 1991 East Timor massacre, where she was reportedly beaten. Another notable instance involved her confronting a Chevron press officer in Nigeria, who confirmed the company's logistical support for the military against Ogoni protests.
The documentary also recounts a half-hour phone call with Bill Clinton on US election day in November 2000, during which he was reportedly irritated by Goodman's questioning.
