Manchester City's Premier League season will kick off without winger Jeremy Doku, who is sidelined with a calf injury. Manager Enzo Maresca confirmed the Belgium international will miss Sunday's opener against Bournemouth, having sustained the injury during the Community Shield defeat to Arsenal last weekend.
Maresca stated on Friday that Doku is the only player currently unavailable, expecting him to be out for approximately two to three weeks. The 24-year-old's absence comes as City are reportedly preparing to offload two forwards before the transfer window closes.
Tottenham are said to be keen on both Savinho and Omar Marmoush. Spurs have reportedly agreed an £85m fee for Savinho, which includes a basic sum of £75m plus £10m in add-ons, with £5m guaranteed. This move would make Savinho City's club-record sale and push Tottenham's summer spending past £300m.
