A unique collaboration featuring Dolly Parton, her niece Jada Star, and Welsh singer-songwriter Bronwen Lewis has resulted in a Welsh and English language cover of Parton's hit song 'Jolene'. The track was released on Friday, 9 October 2026.

This release marks Parton's second posthumous single, following her death on 25 August. The recording took place in early 2025 at Parton's studio in Nashville, where she reportedly spent time understanding the phonetics of Lewis's Welsh translation.

The idea for the Welsh rendition of 'Jolene' came from Jada Star, who suggested involving her aunt. Bronwen Lewis, a Welsh speaker from Neath, had previously translated and recorded a video of herself singing the song, which attracted the attention of Parton's family.

Parton, who had links to Machynlleth in Powys, was described by Star and Lewis as being "proud" to sing in Welsh. On the track, Parton states that "heartbreak sounds the same in every language."
