Newlyweds Amber and Nathan Cooper are among 34 customers who claim they are battling for refunds on faulty cars purchased from Trade Centre UK. The couple reportedly spent their wedding present money on a £7,000 Citroen C4 in August 2025, which lost power on the A30 during their honeymoon journey.

They stated that the vehicle required a new engine, clutch, and gearbox upon its return to Trade Centre UK. A year later, they are still seeking an apology and their money back. Other customers have reported issues such as loud engine noises and problems with suspension and clutches.

Customers have described the process of rejecting vehicles under the Consumer Rights Act as complicated and lengthy, with claims often being refused. Trade Centre UK has stated it takes concerns seriously and that problems are "rare," adding that its teams work with customers to find resolutions, which may include repairs, replacement vehicles, or accepting vehicle rejection.

Sandwell Council Trading Standards has confirmed it has launched an investigation into the complaints. The council has advised anyone with concerns to report them via the Citizens Advice Consumer Service.
