DPD UK has been recognised as the leading parcel delivery company in the latest annual poll conducted by MoneySavingExpert. The survey, which garnered more than 20,000 responses from customers across the UK, assessed various aspects of delivery services, including reliability, communication, and overall satisfaction.
According to the results, DPD UK received a 71% 'great' rating, indicating a high level of customer approval. This places them ahead of major competitors, including Amazon Logistics, which secured the second position with a 65% 'great' rating. Evri, formerly Hermes, also saw an improvement in its standing, achieving a 60% 'great' rating and moving into third place, a notable shift from previous years.
The poll also shed light on the performance of other prominent delivery services. Royal Mail's satisfaction varied considerably depending on the service used, with Special Delivery achieving an 84% 'great' rating, while standard parcel delivery received a lower 54%. Yodel and Parcelforce Worldwide also featured in the survey, with Yodel receiving a 46% 'great' rating and Parcelforce Worldwide 56%.
The findings underscore the growing importance of efficient and reliable parcel delivery for UK consumers, particularly in an era of increased online shopping. Factors such as clear communication regarding delivery times, the ability to track parcels, and prompt resolution of issues are critical in shaping customer perception and loyalty. The poll's results offer valuable insights for both consumers choosing delivery options and companies aiming to enhance their service quality.
Martin Lewis, founder of MoneySavingExpert, highlighted the consistent feedback from consumers about the varying quality of delivery services. He emphasised that while some companies consistently perform well, others struggle, leading to frustration for customers. The poll serves as an annual barometer of public sentiment towards these essential services.
