Dragons Triumph Over Scarlets in 10-Try United Rugby Championship Thriller

The Dragons celebrated a Welsh derby win in the United Rugby Championship (URC) today, overcoming Scarlets 38-26 in a thrilling 10-try encounter at Rodney Parade in Newport. The home side secured their victory with six tries, including two from Wales hooker Elliot Dee.

Further scores for the Dragons came from wing Anzelo Tuitavuki, props Rodrigo Martinez and Rob Hunt, and full-back Huw Anderson. Scarlets responded with two tries from wing Macs Page, and additional scores from replacements Sam O'Connor and Ioan Jones.

The match was played in front of a lively crowd of 7,163. The Dragons remain unbeaten in the URC season, following an opening weekend draw with Benetton. In contrast, the Scarlets have now suffered two derby defeats, having also lost to Cardiff, and are currently missing injured back-row duo Taine Plumtree and Fletcher Anderson.

Dragons co-captain Ben Carter returned to lead the side, while scrum-half Rhodri Williams made his 150th appearance for the Dragons against his former team. Despite Scarlets leading 14-12 at half-time, the Dragons dominated the second half to seal their success.
