Durham, the Division Two leaders, secured a decisive 10-wicket victory over Gloucestershire, needing only six balls to complete the win on the final day. This seventh win of the season for Durham is expected to further extend their lead at the top of the table with four games remaining.

Matty Potts hit the winning boundary off Ollie Price's bowling from the final ball of the first over of Durham's second innings, with only four runs required for victory. The match also saw David Bedingham score his fifth Championship century of the year, contributing 122 runs.

Kasey Aldridge delivered a strong performance for Durham, taking five wickets as Gloucestershire were bowled out for 137 on the opening day, and later adding 4-47 to finish with match figures of 9-63. Gloucestershire, who suffered their ninth defeat in ten matches, remain at the bottom of the table.
