Durán Shines as Celtic Secure 3-0 Victory Over Aberdeen

Camilo Durán inspired Celtic to a 3-0 win against Aberdeen, while Rangers secured a 2-1 victory over Falkirk on Wednesday.

  • Celtic striker Camilo Durán scored his sixth goal in five matches for the club.
  • Rangers secured a 2-1 win against Falkirk with a double from Lawrence Shankland.
  • Celtic are two points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership after four consecutive wins.

Celtic's Camilo Durán was the driving force behind the Scottish champions' 3-0 triumph over Aberdeen on Wednesday. The Colombian striker netted his sixth goal in five matches for Martin O’Neill’s side, scoring in the 14th minute with a long-range strike.

Benjamin Nygren and Yang Hyun-jun also found the net, ensuring Celtic had sealed the victory before half-time. The win marks a perfect start to their title defence, with four successive victories, despite a recent Champions League exit.

Elsewhere, Rangers secured a dramatic 2-1 win against Falkirk. Lawrence Shankland scored both goals for Rangers, including the winner in the 79th minute, easing pressure on manager Derek McInnes, who watched from the stands due to a touchline ban.

Celtic currently hold a two-point lead over second-placed St Mirren, who achieved a 1-0 victory at Kilmarnock, their first at Rugby Park in 13 years, thanks to Fraser Taylor's maiden goal.
