The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has released a summary of findings from general population polling conducted between July and August. This research, an online survey of the UK general population, was commissioned to understand public attitudes towards strategies addressing the increasing number of young people not in education, employment, or training (NEET).
The polling was specifically designed to test public opinion on various policy approaches related to young people who are NEET. The DWP states that these findings will contribute to the evidence base for the Milburn Young People and Work final report.
The results from this research are intended to inform the policy recommendations that will be proposed within the Young People and Work final report.
Why this matters: The research findings will be used to inform policy recommendations aimed at addressing the issue of young people not in education, employment, or training.
