A US Army battalion is reportedly offering soldiers a four-day pass to play Grand Theft Auto 6 as a special incentive for reenlistment. The offer is detailed in a written directive shared on the U.S Army WTF! Moments Instagram account.
According to the memo, any officer who signs a reenlistment contract between 1 August 2026 and 14 November 2026 will be authorised for this special pass. The pass is specifically designated to coincide with the anticipated release of the new GTA game, scheduled for November 19.
While the memo states that no officer can be granted more than four consecutive days of leave, the exact dates for redemption are to be coordinated individually. The authenticity of the directive, signed by a commanding officer named Ryan D. Hodgson, is currently being debated by gamers and army veterans online.
