The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced updates to its official social media accounts, including significant changes to Jobcentre Plus (JCP) listings. Regional groupings for JCP X (Twitter) accounts have been revised, with 'Scotland' changing to 'Scotland and North England' and 'North-east England' becoming 'Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the Humber'.
Several JCP Twitter accounts have been consolidated. For instance, separate accounts for East, North, South, and West London, along with JCPinAirports, have been replaced by a single @JCPinLondon account. Similarly, JCP Twitter accounts for Scotland have merged into @JCPinScotland. The @dwppressoffice and @DWP Twitter accounts have also been replaced by a single @DWPgovuk account.
New accounts have been added, including @JCPinTheMarches, @JCPLincsHumber, and @JCPinTheBC for the Black Country. Conversely, a number of accounts have been removed due to closure or inactivity, such as @JCPinCambs, @DWPOverseas, and the DWP Benefits Information Facebook page. The DWP has also added links to official YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts.
